For Book Distributors
If you move volume, I welcome large repair jobs shipped in. Dealers, resellers, estate liquidators: shelves of cloth-bound books needing hinges, spines, or cases before they sell, let's talk.
Dealer services
Hinge repair, archival Mylar dust-jacket covers, slipcases, and clamshells. Light-touch work priced from my published ranges and quoted for the lot. Books that are deteriorated throughout aren't repaired at dealer volume, but they can get a case. Text block resewing and extensive paper repair aren't offered for dealers.
How batches work
Standard pricing covers up to 5 books per box. Ship 6 or more and the order moves to bulk quoting, priced for the lot. Your books move through together in one scheduled window. Send a rough count and photos and I'll quote the lot with a turnaround for the batch.
Photos for your listings
Every repair gets before and after photos in a shared folder you can use in your own listings. Your books never appear on my social media.
Same rules at any volume: deposits to schedule, a final invoice after inspection, everything in writing, work starts after full payment. Estimates are ranges, but the final invoice after inspection is the price; it only changes if you add services.
The same intake standards apply too: no mold, heavy smoke, water damage, or pest history. If a book isn't a fit, I'll tell you before it ships.
The 14-day workmanship guarantee covers books people own and keep, so it doesn't apply to stock bought for resale.
Want the selling handled too? Through Hot Pawz Estates, my eBay consignment business, I can repair your books and list them for you in one handoff. Ask me for details.
Consignment note: my studio insurance covers books in for repair, not inventory listed through Hot Pawz Estates. Books stored here for listing aren't insured through me, so carry your own property coverage for them if you want it.
You handle shipping to me, labels included, sent however you like. I'll return your books the same way they arrived, and the return postage goes on your invoice.
It can run a bit higher than your inbound shipping, since books often go home in bigger boxes once they've gained a cover or a slipcase, sometimes in more than one.
Get in touch with a rough count and what you're seeing. I'll tell you whether your books are a fit and what pricing would look like.
